Description
This earthenware dog has realistically features with a strong physique, round eyes, pricked-up ears, open mouth, protruding tongue, thick neck and upturned tail. The leather collar and girdle belt, and the loop on the back of the collar show the domestic nature of the animal. The primitive design shows rustic interest. Pottery dogs are often found among Han burial objects and this dog shows its precise structure and realistic rendering.
