  • Artist Bio

    Wong Kan-tai embarked on his career in journalism in 1977. He is a seasoned documentary photographer with many years of experience as a photojournalist. He studied photography in Japan from 1982 to 1986. He stayed in London from 1999 to 2005 and published photography journal Mahjong with his friends in 2009. Wong’s favourite subjects are people and the environment through which he always figures out the conflict between human civilization and nature.

  • Description

    Hong Kong Walled City is a series taken in old neighbourhoods which are undergoing transformation in various parts of Hong Kong. Fast-paced change has almost become a norm in Hong Kong. These photographs were taken using a plastic toy camera produced by a Hong Kong manufacturer.
